Insanity.
Wow, last night was insane. We got featured on G4’s Attack of the Show and were deluged with users. Tom and I were up until 5:30am bringing servers online, fixing bugs, and trying to stabilize things in general. I then woke up at 8:30am only to see that our upload servers were down! Time for some better monitoring tools :).
When I take a step back, this is actually pretty fun, and not as stressful as I would have thought. When things go down (which is hopefully infrequently), I don’t feel all that panicked, just more like “Whoa, that sucks. Ok, time to fix it!” Definitely a different state of mind than I’ve had in the past. I think the sleep deprivation might be calming me down a bit, or there’s a slight chance that I might just be maturing.
Ok, back to the nerdery.
