Wow! This is an amazing example of what happens when innovation meets EC2. Out of curiosity, does Animoto use those 3,500 EC2 instances to mix video and audio or just to transcode to YouTube?

You really need 5000 instances ? So that would be the equivalent of what, 625 dual-quad CPU machines ? How many videos/minute does that translate to, exactly ? I guess that seems high to me.

Great job Animoto guys. Way to Animotorize - and Banish the Boring.
I just did a PSA with Animoto — people were brought to tears (not because of the bad writing as you might think) but because of the
powerful way images can be rendered in Animoto. Check it out - Just went out today (an hr ago) and my box has been slammed.
