Animoto videos now rendering 4x faster
This past weekend, we transitioned our entire video rendering system from single-core to mutli-core processors. This means the processor-intensive work of rendering an Animoto video is now distributed over several “workers”… resulting in projects that are completed 4x faster.
We’ll be continuing to optimize the new system and hope to see even greater improvements very soon.
Not only does this mean you now get your video back in the matter of a few minutes, but this also lays the groundwork for some pretty amazing new stuff.
