Introducing Animoto for Education
We’re pleased to announce a new service exclusively for teachers. Animoto for Education (http://education.animoto.com) gives teachers, grades K-12, unlimited access to the full range of Animoto’s services, both standard and premium, for free. Since launching last year, Animoto has become a popular tool among teachers, researchers, librarians and other educators around the globe, who use it to bring presentations and lesson plans to life in a whole new way.
It’s been really exciting to hear from teachers about the variety of ways they’ve incorporated Animoto videos into their daily lesson plans. Animoto for Education is our gift to teachers; we want to help empower them with a tool to reach their kids in a new and exciting way.
“Animoto for Education is a true benefit for teachers and students, and gives educators a brand new, entertaining and powerful way to illustrate classroom projects, field trips, lessons and more. The members of the Discovery Educator Network have profited from the creativity and generosity of Animoto for Education and we really appreciate the gift of unlimited access.”
- Lance Rougeux, Director, Discovery Educator Network. “
“We’ve used Animoto to create opening montages for Parents’ Nights, advocacy videos to promote school libraries at our State Capitol, introductions at orientation activities, and capturing memories of professional conferences. Animoto is a great addition to a school’s digital storytelling toolkit.”
- Joyce Kasman Valenza, Ph.D., Teacher & Librarian at Springfield Township HS and Author of PowerTools Recharged.

A special thanks goes out to all the teachers who’ve been Animoto fans since the beginning and who have inspired the creation of this program.

I just made my first video this week. Tonight I started to look around to see if you had any special deals for educators and I found this post! I signed up right away and spread the word through Plurk and Twitter. Thank you for responding to the teachers.
I’m a high school teacher who has become an Animoto fanatic with my personal stuff. I, recently, began thinking how I might use this site with and for my students. Then I ran across THIS PIECE of INFO… Sweeeeeeeeeetttt!
Thanks sooooooo much for Animoto For Education.. This sure beats another coffee mug! (However, I wouldn’t be opposed to an ANIMOTO mug, water bottle, t-shirt, mouse pad, sticky notepad, etc.)
Keep ROCKIN’ it Animoto Guys! You’ve EARNED an A+ from THIS teacher!
I really appreciate you guys doing this. I was able to use it with my students last fall and immediately signed up with you as you made this available to be able to use it again with my students…it is amazing what they will put together. Thanks again.
This is huge guys. I like the work you guys are doing in capturing the attention of students of the world and delivering the message.
Keep it up
I am so impressed by the quality of the videos I viewed on your website. I am looking forward to sharing this with my teachers and publication students. Thank you for making it freely available for educators and their students.
